On Linux Mint 16 (Petra, based on Ubuntu 13.10, Saucy Salamander), on a 64-bit PC:
- Java: keep the default version, OpenJDK 1.7.0_51
- Eclipse:
- install Kepler (4.3.2) (Eclipse IDE for Java developers - 64-bit) into ~/eclipseKepler
- from Help / Install New Software..., select Kepler site. Then, from General Purpose Tools, install the five SWT Designer packages. Restart Eclipse.
- go on installing some software: after having selected Eclipse Project Updates site, install Eclipse SDK. Restart Eclipse. SWT API reference will be available at Help / Help contents / Platform Plug-in Developer Guide / Reference / API Reference.
- Subversive:
- using Synaptic, install SVNkit (1.7.5). Subversion (1.7.9) was already installed.
- using Help / Install New Software..., select Kepler site. Add Subversive SVN Team Provider, Subversive SVN JDT Ignore Extensions, Subversive Revision Graph. Restart Eclipse. It displays the Subversive connector discovery window. Select SVN Kit 1.3.8 and install. Restart Eclipse.
